Why We Created the Indoor Teaming Adventure

You have an important meeting coming up.

Perhaps you're launching a new strategy. Bringing leaders together. Energising a sales conference. Or looking for a fresh way to bring a leadership programme to life.

You know what you want people to leave with: greater clarity, stronger relationships, renewed energy and a genuine commitment to what comes next.

But how do you design an experience capable of getting you there?

Here's the problem.

The Problem

Something that breaks the mould and captures people's undivided attention.

Something memorable and meaningful, with real substance. An experience that includes everyone and creates the conditions for people to connect, participate and do important work together.

That's why we created the Indoor Teaming Adventure.

The idea grew from a simple observation: bringing people into the same room doesn't automatically create engagement, clarity or commitment.

The meetings that really matter need to be designed differently.

So we turned to an unlikely source of inspiration: African wildlife tracking.

Why?

Tracking is one of humanity's oldest problem solving disciplines. Expert trackers work with incomplete information. They notice what others miss, combine different perspectives, make decisions under uncertainty and continually adapt as conditions change.

In wildlife tracking we saw the foundations of effective leadership and teamwork come alive in front of our eyes.

From the comfort of a conference room, participants are transported into the African wilderness and placed in the shoes of an expert tracking team. Through video, storytelling and real tracking dilemmas, they must observe, discuss, make decisions and solve problems together.

Something interesting begins to happen.

Because the subject has nothing to do with their day-to-day work, familiar organisational positions begin to fall away.

Different Voices Emerge

The emotional tone of the room changes.

And that's important, because the adventure itself is not the destination.
It's the doorway.

At carefully chosen moments, we pause the tracking story and move into what we call Campfire Conversations.

Now the conversation turns to your business.

The tracking metaphor gives people a new language through which to explore familiar business challenges. A conversation that might have felt predictable - or even difficult - becomes easier to enter.

This is where the design of the Indoor Teaming Adventure matters.

Beforehand, we work with leaders to understand what the meeting really needs to accomplish. What messages need to land? What conversations need to happen? What should people think, feel and do differently afterwards?

The Measure of Success

The result is neither traditional team building nor another leadership workshop.

It is an immersive learning experience designed to change the conditions in the room so that people can have better conversations about the things that really matter.

That is precisely what we designed it to do.

To help your most important meetings produce better conversations, clearer perspectives and genuine commitment to what happens next.

Because sometimes, to see your own world differently, you first need to step outside it.
